Consider the Lilys

Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
If God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, oh ye of little faith? Luke 12:27,28

Growing babies

My little birds are growing fast and fluffy. I will try to post some pics later, but the computer is acting up right now.  The tiny one is growing too, but not as fast as the rest, they are still 2 or 3 times bigger.
I have 3 frizzled chicks, 3 polish crosses, 2 polish, and 4 silkies.

The hen and her chicks are doing well too. The reds are all cocks.  The bantams have wings that are almost bigger than they are, and their tails are getting long.

Baby 1, 2 days. Another cross.

Baby 2 at one day. Maybe full silkie.

The runners at one week, they are getting big! And dad had to have some mallards.

I only had 12 hatch out of 24 because of an incubator problem,  the temp got up to high one day and evidently killed some of them.  Some hatched while I was at church, and some hatched that night.
The last baby to hatch was realy weak but with some TLC and the good Lord I think it's going to make it.I call it Tiny, it is still half the size of the rest. Thursday I had to force feed it because it wouldn't eat. I mixed some powderd milk, raw egg yolk, and water, and fed it drops off the end of my finger.( If you put a drop of liquid on a chicks beak, it will drink it.)   Fri it was worse and I added molasses, brown sugar, and a little salt to the mix, but I didn't think it would make the night. I told mom it would be a miracle if it lived. Late fri night I checked on it and it was sleeping alot better than before. Sat morn it  was up and lively, even picking at food a little, I kept feeding it the mix and it would drink on its own. I also give all my chicks boiled egg yolk for at least the first week. Tiny would pick at the egg yolk Sat, but by Sun it was eating like crazy. It still don't eat hard food very well but all the chicks go crazy over the yolk. I think I may rename it miracle. :)
Today Tiny was not quite as lively so I mixed some molasses with their water, the molasses will give them all some energy.  They are all doing realy well.
